25% of new mothers return to work two weeks post-birth. Mothers need time to heal from birth and parents need time to bond with their baby.

33% of working people care for an aging loved one. Maine’s aging population means this number will likely increase in the coming years.

Right now, only 15% of working people have access to paid family leave. Access to paid family and medical leave will soon help Maine families succeed and thrive.
